Assumption College is a private, Roman Catholic, liberal arts college located on 185 acres (708,000 m²) in Worcester, Massachusetts. Assumption has an enrollment of about 2,117 undergraduates. The college confers Bachelor of Arts degrees in its undergraduate program, Master of Arts and Masters of Business Administration degrees in its Graduate program, and Associate's degree through its Continuing Education program. Though majors in the sciences are offered, only Bachelor of Arts degrees are conferred.
The annual President's Council Dinner, which honors the College's major donors, is held in Worcester's historic Mechanics Hall.

The 2013 dinner featured vocal performances by reigning "AC Idol" champion Elizabeth Kayitesi '15, as well as Allison Baxter '15, Matt Angelini '13 and Kristen Clarke '15, with each performing a solo selection from the upcoming Assumption Theater production of Les Miserables, coming to Worcester's Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts April 4-6. a speech by student speaker Michael Carpentier '14 and remarks from President Cesareo about some of the programs that donors help to finance, such as the Rome campus, the SOPHIA program and the Tagaste Project, all featured in the winter 2014 issue of Assumption Magazine.
The President’s Council is a leadership giving society of alumni, parents and friends who demonstrate a willingness to invest in the future of Assumption College on an ongoing basis. The commitment to support the College annually as a member of the Council will provide the President with the resources needed to ensure that Assumption remains a highly-selective, liberal arts and sciences college that will continue to attract talented students and a distinguished faculty.
